David Arnold Band was founded by drummer David Arnold in late 2006 under the name Street Jam as a side project to play a few engagements he was contacted to form a band to play. Street Jam was David Arnold on drums, Corey O’Brien on Sax, Gary Pace, Piano and Nathan Reiber on bass. The group played a couple events at the end of 2006 and didn’t expect anything to come more of the band. But, in early 2007 David started to be contacted to have Street Jam perform at more events. Throughout the spring, summer and fall of 2007 the band played several events, at local city Art shows and at a local music school where David taught drum lessons, they even earned a spot at the Mount Clemens Bath City Festival. After taking several months off to endeavor in other projects David felt it was time to put a solid line up together to continue with the standards and also begin to write original songs and have begun recording and hope to have a full length cd out in 2008. So, with a new name and a bit of a new sound by adding guitarist Chad Koening he is prepared to bring his band out and perform on a much more regular basis than what he had thought in 2006.

Nathan Reiber (Stand up and electric bass) - Nate Reiber, the youngest member of the band, started playing the electric bass guitar at the age of 13. He was taught by a few different musicians but had little interest in jazz music at the time. Later during his sophomore year he started playing the double bass when his music teacher, Joshua James, insisted that he learned to play it for the Bishop Foley Concert Band. He first learned by playing pizzicatto and than later adopted Andrew Lloyd as is double bass teacher. Andrew Lloyd set Nathan up with a few gigs, but hadn’t been a member of a jazz band until his teacher suggested he played with Corey and David in 2006.
