Christopher Ryan Jones

and the Bluegrass Mafia

            Christopher Ryan Jones and the Bluegrass Mafia (CRJ) are a very unique bluegrass / comedy group. Watching this act is like going to an amusement park where you find all kinds of fun things all in one spot. You go from sidesplitting laughter, to almost tear jerking ballads and melodies. This is a show you’ll not want to miss this year.

            CRJ is full of talent. From Chris’s unique writing skills and multi-instrument playing abilities, to the “Mafia’s” group of talented well renowned musicians. This group is awe inspiring to the new musician and entertaining for the seasoned veteran.

            CRJ is writing new material and is looking to get back into the studio sometime after their summer tour. There are two projects in the works 1) Christopher Ryan Jones & The Bluegrass Mafia  - Featuring all songs that I've written. 2) Old Brush Arbors - A bluegrass/gospel recording featuring many guest artists from various genres. CRJ is in the final stages of releasing their much-anticipated CD “Hello In There: A Tribute To John Prine. This CD has such great hits as: Title cut “Hello in there”, “Paradise”, and favorite funny song “Let’s talk dirty in Hawaiian” and so many more. This is a CD you must have in your collection. CRJ promises a press release the minute it becomes available. The last released CD “It’s all good” is out of print and these next projects promise to go just as quickly. CRJ is already receiving request from radio stations as far away as England, Germany, and Australia.

            CRJ is looking towards some new corporate sponsorship this year. From Mandolin and string manufacturers to sponsors like “McIntyre Pickups”.

            CRJ is looking to become a member of the IBMA and the SPBGMA and is looking to be present in most of the festivals this year. The only set back to this plan might be the awful accident he was in while shopping at a Wal-Mart store. This accident has injured his wrist causing CRJ to cancel five (5) shows to date. Wal-Mart had declined to take responsibility for this loss of Chris’s and has left it up to his own devices to get better and recover from this loss.

            Chris is a student at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. and is carrying a very respectable GPA. BMI has thought so much of this rising star that they have signed with him to write songs. CRJ and the Mafia schedule is light during school season, booking dates are available and during the summer months almost anything goes. Due to the heavy response and the lack of time CRJ as teamed up with Fatman Promotions to handle all their PR, and booking task.

            Please come out and support Christopher Ryan Jones and the Bluegrass Mafia this summer. This is a great show, great music, and wonderful family entertainment.
